What is the goodness of a good action?Human life and the scholastic metaphysicsof moral properties

I develop an analysis coming from John of St. Thomas and some other 17th-century Thomists of the moral value of an action as an internal property of the action — its transcendental relation towards its proper object. It involves an analysis of actions in terms of real tendencies and identifications of a single real tendency towards distinct objects.
As the case study for general considerations I present the fundamental principle of traditional ethics that man has no kind of dominium type right towards his own life or other people’s lives, but only rights of custodia or ususfructus type; the principle rules out murder, abortion, euthanasia, suicide and genocide as deeply immoral actions.
