Abstrakt

The collapse of socialism and the disintegration of Yugoslavia provided an exciting context for the theatre and its repertoire strategies. The paper outlines, recognizes and defines the key aspects of changes in theatre. From the initial closure within the new-old national systems, emerged the logic of intercultural dialogue that promoted dramatic and theatrical pluralism. The key focus of this analysis is mapping of contemporary performing practices that redefined the understanding of theatre policy within traditional framework, where policy became defined and emerged as a new programming value; value that is of importance to the whole community.
