If a juvenile commits an offense in relation to the fullfillment of compulsory school attendance, the apply disciplinary measures in a way outlined by the Act.

The study is devoted to the principles of implementing imprisonment for prisoners who pose a serious social threat or a serious threat to the security of the facility, not regulated in the Executive Penal Code. It was indicated at the outset that the provisions of the Act regulate the title issue quite synthetically. The Act on the Prison Service specifies that the Director General of the Prison Service, as part of their duties, may issue orders, instructions or guidelines. Both of these legal acts specify in detail the provisions of the Executive Penal Code, which are devoted to, e.g., the rules for implementing imprisonment for this particular category of convicts.

Halfway houses in the Norwegian penitentiary system have been operating for over twenty years. In recent years, this type of solution has become popular in Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Lithuania, and Poland, thanks to EEA grants. Bearing in mind the different legal, social and cultural orders of the indicated countries, the need for optimizing the process of social support for people leaving penitentiary units necessitates educating them about the conditions for the functioning of Norwegian halfway houses. This will avoid possible adaptation and implementation problems in creating analogous solutions in Poland.

The study raises the issue of the location of transitional houses, the procedures for qualifying and directing convicts to this type of institution, organization and functioning, as well as the procedures of conduct in Norwegian halfway houses. The raised issues are part of the scientific discourse on the need to conduct research on the effectiveness of the process of implementing halfway houses to Polish legal and social conditions.

The main purpose of this study is to analyze changes in the scope of liability for petty offenses against historical monuments that entered into force on January 1, 2024. In this respect the amendment act of June 22, 2017 was key, introducing a catalog of administrative torts as of January 1, 2018 and decriminalizing their equivalent petty offenses as of January 1, 2024. The above legislative measure is an example of the noticeable trend in recent years of transforming petty offenses into administrative torts. Decriminalization of petty offenses as a result of their conversion into administrative torts is not the only direction of changes in the scope of liability for petty offenses against historical monuments. In some cases, the legislator decided to tighten liability and transform petty offenses into offenses.

The article examines issues concerning French penitentiary system. The article attempts to systematize the key issues concerning the conditions of execution of a penalty of deprivation of liberty and organizing the French public prison service. The study examines the provisions of the French penal codes and other prison-related legislation. The paper also refers to regulations in the Polish penitentiary system to conduct a comparative legal analysis. The theoretical considerations, supported by French penitentiary statistics, illustrate the current challenges confronting the French penitentiary system.

This article discusses the issue of juvenile legal and criminal liability in the inter-war period and during the Second World War. Particular attention is paid to the issue of reactions criminal acts committed by juveniles on the grounds of the regulations of the 1932 Penal Code. The paper offers a complex presentation of said solutions implemented in the Second Republic of Poland’s penal system.
