The aim of the paper is to present a strategy of social survival in the conditions of a crisis of parliamentary democracy. Threats to the rule of law are compared to toxins that have accumulated in the world of living organisms over the years and thus have prevented their proper functioning. The analysis covers three strategies, including passive and active ones, for individuals or groups that need to adjust to the expectations of a subject/entity exercising power. The differentiation of these strategies depends on the degree of subordination of the individual (servant personality type) as well as on the place that both material and non-material goods occupy in one’s value system.
