The article aims to trace the reception of Antigone on the basis of feminist and gender criticism. It turns out that the same categories noticed by individual researchers are assessed and valorized differently, accordingly to the feminist trend they identify with. The author decides, therefore, to reverse the optics and evaluate the discourse through the prism of the method of analysis and interpretation of the mythological heroine.
