Artykuły
The author discusses the practical and theoretical consequences of unsealing the borders of the field of art, weakening its autonomy and proliferation of forms. He maintains – following Jerzy Ludwinski – that this blurring of borders creates many new possibilities, both at the level of individual practices and collective actions, as well as institutional conventions. In doing so, he refers to a number of examples of post-artistic practices from the last decade, with particular emphasis on the situation in Poland. By rooting his reflection in the empirical evidence, he enters into dialogue with the practice and theory of Arte Útil, institutional theory, the aesthetics of strange tools and the Marxist conception of art as non-alienated labour. Referring to the sociological critique of class distinction and the economy of time specific to scholastic universes, he advocates for radical democracy, a practical and universal application of the strange tools offered by art.
