The article is a description and analysis of the exhibition “Pellegrinaggio della pittura russa. Da Dionisij a Malevič” / “Русский путь. От Дионисия до Малевича”, held at the Vatican Museums from 20 XI 2018 to 16 II 2019, which presented Russian art of the 13th to 20th century from the collection of the Tretyakov Gallery with a special focus on both traditional and modern religious painting. The text discusses the context in which the exhibition was created, its concept and the individual works presented.
