The author in his analysis of the passages in the Book of Henryków pertaining the relations between “old” and “new” Silesian dukes and the Cistercians from the abbey in Henryków regarding the financial and property issues of the abbey presents means and aims of the idealization of the times before the “pagan invasion” in 1241 by abbot peter.
