Abstract

Selected municipal ordinances issued in the 1520s by the town councillors of Wrocław concerned primarily the poor and the beggars. Analysis of their contents allowed for discerning what solutions were proposed by the secular authorities and how they evolved on the course of few years. The extent of correlation between selected documents and the ideas of Reformation was also emphasized.
