Journalist-expert duet — the influence of the pragmatic factors on the construction of live sports commentary
The purpose of this article was to illustrate the differences in constructing commentaries/ sport reviews by professional journalists in opposition to what one would call “experts opinion” — most often by current or former athletes. The article attempts to ascertain that some pragmatic elements, such as education or social position, have an influence on the means by which the discussed genre is constructed. This can be interesting due to the fact that they can derive a two-sided commentary concerning the same sports event.
