Corpus linguistics in speech act research. Pilot study of directives in Polish as a foreign language textbooks
This paper aims to introduce computer tools for the speech act analysis in Polish language text corpora. The first part outlines the theory of speech acts and corpus linguistics. The second part is devoted to corpus methods of speech act research. The third part presents a model case of this type — with results verification — for the Polish language. The author then concludes the analysis and suggests further research.
