THE IMPACT OF LABOUR LAW ON THE SERVICE RELATIONSHIPS
OF THE UNIFORMED OFFICERS — SELECTED ISSUES

This article explains the impact of labour law on the service relationships of the uniformed officers. In this regard, there are two key elements — the first one is the legislation and the second one — the judicial decisions. The first part of the article describes how the legislator makes provisions for uniformed officers concerning, for example, how their powers and duties become similar to the labour law regulations. Judicial decisions should be, and in the vast majority of cases are, a  consequence of the legislation but sometimes they go beyond the framework marked out by the legislature. This shows a  change in the perception of these relationships by the courts.
