63.1/2025: Special Issue on Multidimensionality of Translation Research: Between Worlds of Words

Dear Colleagues,


We are excited to announce a forthcoming special issue of Anglica Wratislaviensia, dedicated to exploring ideas of translation studies. The editors encourage scholars from across the academy to explore and provide their unique insight within the suggested thematic fields in the form of original research articles, creative texts, and review papers for consideration in this special issue.


The theme of this special issue is “Multidimensionality of Translation Research: Between Worlds of Words.”

We are particularly interested in contributions that focus on the following areas:

  • Specialized Translation;
  • Adaptation as Translation Procedure;
  • Language for Specific Purposes and Terminology in Translation;
  • Multidimensionality, Literary Translation and/or Adaptation;
  • Cognitive Translation Studies;
  • Stylistics/ Poetics and Translation.

Submission Guidelines:

  1. Manuscripts should be around 6,000 words, including references, tables, and figures.
  2. All submissions must comply with the Anglica Wratislaviensia Author Guidelines, available on our website (https://wuwr.pl/awr/about/submissions).
  3. The deadline for submissions is December 31, 2024.
  4. To submit a manuscript authors need to create an account on the journal website, where they can submit the manuscript in electronic format using Open Journal Systems.
  5. All submissions will undergo a double-blind peer review process.

Important Dates

  • Submission deadline: December 31, 2024;
  • Notification of acceptance/rejection: February 20, 2025;
  • Revised manuscript due: March 15, 2025;
  • Publication of the special issue: August, 2025.
