62.1/2024: Special Issue on Language Learning and Teaching – Contemporary Challenges in Language Education

Dear Colleagues,

We are excited to announce a forthcoming special issue of Anglica Wratislaviensia, dedicated to exploring innovative and contemporary aspects of language learning and teaching. We invite you to submit your original research articles, case studies, and review papers for consideration in this special issue.

The theme of this special issue is " Contemporary Challenges in Language Education." We are particularly interested in contributions that focus on the following subthemes:

  • Innovative approaches to language teaching and learning,
  • Language learning and teaching from the perspective of complex systems theory,
  • Post-pandemic changes in language education,
  • Multilingualism and multiculturalism as a new value in the Polish educational system,
  • Students with experience of migration in the Polish education system,
  • Teaching languages to students with trauma,
  • Student and teacher well-being,
  • Teaching and learning foreign languages out-of-school: e.g., m-learning, virtual worlds, schools in the cloud, individual teaching, learning through exposure.

 

Submission Guidelines:

  1. Manuscripts should be around 6,000 words, including references, tables, and figures.
    2. All submissions must comply with the Anglica Wratislaviensia Author Guidelines, available on our website (https://wuwr.pl/awr/for-authors).
    3. The deadline for submissions is December 31, 2023.
    5. All submissions will undergo a double-blind peer review process.

    Important Dates:

    - Submission deadline: December 31, 2023.
    - Notification of acceptance/rejection: February 20, 2024
    - Revised manuscript due: February 29, 2024
    - Publication of the special issue: August, 2024
