62.2/2024: Special Issue on Life-Writing and Change

Dear Colleagues,

We are excited to announce a forthcoming special issue of Anglica Wratislaviensia, dedicated to exploring ideas of change in life-writing. We invite you to submit your original research articles, creative texts, and review papers for consideration in this special issue.

The theme of this special issue is "Experience of Change in Practices  of Life-Writing.” We are particularly interested in contributions that focus on the following areas:

  • Ways of making sense of change in writings about lives,
  • Paradoxes of change,
  • Changing fortunes and features of life-writing,
  • Seeking change through the practice of life-writing,
  • The role of the “life-changing” encounters,
  • Languages of change,
  • Writing for change,
  • Change as a relation,
  • Life-writers of change,
  • Visual records of change.

Submission Guidelines:

1. Manuscripts should be around 6,000 words, including references, tables, and figures.

2. All submissions must comply with the Anglica Wratislaviensia Author Guidelines, available on our website (https://wuwr.pl/awr/for-authors).

3. The deadline for submissions is February 15, 2024.

4. To submit a manuscript authors need to create an account on the journal website, where they can submit the manuscript in electronic format using Open Journal Systems.

5. All submissions will undergo a double-blind peer review process.

Important Dates:

- Submission deadline: February 15, 2024.
- Notification of acceptance/rejection: April 15, 2024
- Revised manuscript due: May 15, 2024
- Publication of the special issue: November, 2024
