Issue five of the journal contains six articles that differ in the research areas explored. These include the communicative space of the market environment of the Polish farmer, forms of communicating gender identity by transgender literary characters, the Adventist model of dietetics with the idea of intemperance firmly embedded in it, feminist cultures of knowledge produced by NGOs in Germany, and the search for sociological perspectives to understand inter-regional marriages from the state of Haryana in India and reproductive control considered as an element of social control. The authors who have produced them also vary in their research experience and the fields of study and discipline in which they move. In addition, we offer two essays by Natalia Chernysh and Byron Gaist. Shortly after the Russian attack on Ukraine, sociologists from Wrocław University came into contact with sociologists from Lviv University. One of the joint initiatives were newsletters, which - entitled Virtual Bridge Breslau-Lviv - appeared for months on the university website and were sent to sociological societies around the world. Natalia Czernysz has collected the most important information from them, and we are making them available to readers (in the original and in Polish translation). Byron Gaist and attempts to answer the question of how the virtual reality of social media has affected our self-image. In 2022, the National Sociological Congress took place in Warsaw. It was the eighteenth. Three years earlier, it was the Wrocław sociological community that had organised such a congress. In this issue, we have therefore included transcriptions from two important events of the Wrocław congress - the opening lecture and the closing session of the congress.
