The uniqueness of the humankind as compared to other species living on Earth stems not only from numerous evolutionary conditions, both physical and psychological, but also from the fact that humankind creates broadly understood culture. The fact that anthropology of security shows some connections with culture studies implies that it should incorporate elements related to these stud-ies. An anthropologist of security should mainly focus on the anthropological and cultural aspects of the pursuit of freedom from threats. The same premises of this research field is occupied by secu-rity culture. Moreover, anthropology of security is situated at the intersection of two disciplines: an-thropology and security sciences. The authors present the dependencies and consequences that the aforementioned facts bring to research on anthropology of security.
