“Kształcenie Językowe” (“Language Education”) journal has didactic and linguistic profile. We publish papers and reviews about speaking, listening, reading, writing, orthography, speech acts, texts, style, stylistics, rhetoric, pragmatics, ethic of speech, language dictionaries, and about literature in school.

“Kształcenie Językowe” is a continuation of “Kształcenie Językowe w Szkole” (“Language Education at School”), unique polish journal founded in 1981 by dr hab. Maria Dudzik (vol. 1-10; in cooperation with K. Bakuła for vol. 9-10). It provides publication for texts submitted by authors from, beside Poland, USA, France, Flanders, Germany, Czech Republic, Russia, Ukraine, Slovenia.

The chapter from “The Way We Think” by Gilles Fauconnier and Mark Turner was reprinted in “Kształcenie Językowe” vol. 5(15) 2006; in vol. 9 (19) 2011 polish translation of the chapter “Dr Syntax and Ms Grundy” from “Verbal Hygiene” by Deborah Cameron (Oxford University) was published.

The journal is listed in the European Reference Index for the Humanities (ERIH).

 

Abstracts of articles published in "Kształcenie Językowe" can be found in the database of scientific journals Czasopisma Naukowe w Sieci (CNS) and in the The Central European Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities (on the basis of an appropriate agreement between WUWr and CEJSH). Thanks to the agreement of the Publisher with the MLA Directory of Periodicals, copies of the journal are also sent to the Cambridge Scientific Abstracts (CSA, ProQuest). The journal is also indexed in EBSCO, Federation of Digital Libraries and Europeana.
