Power of emotions or power over emotions — discursive representations of emotions
This paper presents a framework for understanding the connections between emotions, power and language. The emotion-power relation is seen here in two ways: as a power of emotions manifesting itself in language means used for describing emotions in general, and power over emotions — referring to Foucault’s theory of power. Also the problem of linguistic presentation of emotions is considered here. Finally, the aim of this paper is to illustrate the theoretical considerations concluded in it, on the basis of empirical analysis.
