How a housing cooperative avoids legal scrutiny, or the “revision association” serving the president of the housing cooperative

Abstract

Housing cooperatives in Poland have been experiencing a long-standing crisis. The main reasons for this situation include the lack of awareness among cooperative members regarding the social nature of this form of organization and the principles governing it, as well as the absence of substantive legislation addressing the needs of cooperative members. This situation allows for inappropriate behaviors and actions, leading to various pathologies and providing a space for manipulation.
