Abstract

THE INSTITUTE OF ADMINISTRATIVE STUDIES IN THE CONTEXT OF THE 70TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE UNIVERSITY OF WROCŁAW

The Institute of Administrative Studies was established within the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Wrocław in 1969. At that time, there were twenty academics on the staff of the Institute: one full professor, five associate professors, three assistant professors and eleven assistants of different status. The first primary research issue analysed by them was the problem of the legal status of an individual vis-á-vis public administration. However, the main research issues analysed today in the Institute are comprised of: substantive, procedural and structural administrative law, administrative and judicial-administrative proceedings, public economic law, environmental law, public administration and globalisation of public administration. Currently, the staff of the Institute includes the following: four full professors, six associate professors, three assistant professors with post-doctoral degrees in law, thirteen assistant professors with doctoral degrees in law, one assistant professor with doctoral degree in economics, and two assistants.
