Abstrakt

ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN THE HEALTH CARE INDUSTRY— A CASE STUDY

In the article, the problems of entrepreneurship in the health care industry are presented. The main goal was to identify and analyze the character of entrepreneurship and its main tools which are: value innovation, open innovation and disruptive technologies. Acase study method was used in the analysis. The focus of this study was Devi Śhetty, the Indian cardiac surgeon renowned for making cutting-edge medical care affordable to the masses. Cutting costs is especially vital in India, where more than two-thirds of the population lives on less than $2 aday, but his strategies may also be of use in developed countries which are facing the problem of how to finance medical services.
