Anglica Wratislaviensia is an international peer-reviewed journal that invites original articles of relevance to the discipline at large as well as to a wide spectrum of specialists within linguistics, English language and literature-oriented disciplines, literary and cultural studies, with focus on empirical as well as theoretical approaches. Since 2023 it appears twice a year and the issues concentrate on linguistics and literary/cultural studies respectively. Thematic issues are advertised on the journal’s homepage.
Anglica Wratislaviensia has evolved from a series, Studia Anglica Wratislaviensia, founded in 1972 in the English Department of the Faculty of Philology (University of Wrocław) and its aim was to publish regional research. Since 2011 Anglica invites submissions from Poland and abroad.
Although its traditional print edition is primary, Anglica Wratislaviensia is accessible online. It includes sections entitled “Linguistics”, “Literature and Culture”, “Second Language Acquisition”, “Review Articles” and, occasionally, “Reviews”. Additional sections may include collections of articles on special topics.
