Juan Ramón Jiménez is well known for his attempts to transgress the limits of the verse and for the insistence on the crucial significance of “the ineffable”. The aim of this article is to show different ways in which a “poetic fact” is being produced, and the message that three passages relating the same scene on the terrace bear.
