An aquatic element in the Rhymes by Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer
The author of this article analyses the poetry of Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer, gathered in the collection of the Rhymes, from a perspective of its symbolism. She concentrates mainly on the aquatic symbols as an illustration of the womanhood, human desires, inspiration, unconsciousness and death.
