Abstract

The aim of this article is to reflect on the current linguistic situation in Puerto Rico in relation to the processes of globalization without losing sight of the historical trajectory of the coexistence of the two languages, the cultural and linguistic policies implemented on the island, and the development of the Puerto Rican identity.
