There are four articles in this issue of Ekonomia — Wroclaw Economic Review. The first text concerns the position of Poland in terms of competitiveness of international merchandise trade. What follows is an article dealing with the state of research regarding the issue of optimum currency areas, and specifically the European Monetary Union. The third paper discusses the size of the Federal Committee for Open Market Operations, while the fourth asks whether participatory budgeting is a useful tool towards co-creation of public services.
