“Prace Literackie” is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the Institute of Polish Philology at the University of Wrocław. The journal has been published since December 1956. It was founded by prof. Tadeusz Mikulski, and subsequently chief-edited by distinguished researchers of polish literary studies, prof. Bogdan Zakrzewski, prof. Lesław Tatarowski and prof. Marian Ursel. In 2020, the editor-in-chief of the journal became prof. Małgorzata Łoboz.
“Prace Literackie” is a journal covering the literary studies that includes also the broad interpretational contexts of Polish and world literature. The editors are particularly interested in articles in the field of literary studies, dealing with the following issues:
All articles should follow the standards of scientific publication. We do not accept literary works (poetry, prose, drama) or literary journalism (except reviews) for printing.
The distinguished researchers as well as the scientifically debuting Polish philologists and PhD students have published in the journal.
Abstracts of articles published in "Prace Literackie" can be found in the database of the Czasopisma Naukowe w Sieci (CNS), Erih+ as well as in The Central European Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities (on the basis of an appropriate agreement between WUWr and CEJSH), as well as in EBSCO, Federacja Bibliotek Cyfrowych and Europeana. Thanks to the agreement of the Institute of Polish Philology with the MLA Directory of Periodicals, copies of the journal are also sent to the Cambridge Scientific Abstracts database (CSA, ProQuest).
