Abstract

The subject of the study is to discuss the issue of social security of the need for long-term care. The author formulates the thesis according to which the need for long-term care is a social issue, the solution of which requires the involvement of social policy measures, and a random event that may constitute the basis for constructing dependence as a new, separate, and widespread social risk and also defines dependence as a social risk.
