Abstract

Control and regulation of economic activity by the state is one of its oldest roles concerning several areas of the economy. This article provides an analysis of this state function using the example of legal instruments applied by the administration of measures as to regulation under the Act of 5 July 2018 on the System of Digital Tachographs. The paper defends the thesis that by undertaking regulatory activity aimed at ensuring uniformity and accuracy of (tachograph) measurements, the state performs its function of economic regulation in a contemporary manner.
