The article presents a new approach to public procurement control in the light of the Public Procurement Law. The analysis is conducted in terms of the adopted legal solutions, which to a large extent correspond to the postulates of legal scholars. The research is based on the adoption of a procurement control system based on the control authorities included in the Public Procurement Law. The influence of the views of legal science on the conditions of the proper construction of the control system and the conditions of the proper functioning of the control system was presented. Considerations regarding control procedures as well as statutory rights and obligations of the controlled and controlling entities are important in determining the legal situation of the controlled entities. Comments were presented regarding the Committee for Control in Public Procurement, a newly established body, and its role in the systemic functioning of procurement control.
