AUTHORITARIANISM AND TOTALITARIANISM AS DISCUSSED IN 2009–2014 IN POLITEJA, A PERIODICAL OF THE FACULTY OF INTERNATIONAL AND POLITICAL STUDIES, JAGIELLONIAN UNIVERSITY — SELECTED TOPICS

The problem of authoritarianism and totalitarianism was tackled on many occasions in 2009– 2014 in Politeja, a periodical of the Faculty of International and Political Studies, Jagiellonian University. The broad range of topics examined in the periodical included theoretical reflection on the essence of authoritarianism and totalitarianism, reconstruction of their historical and contemporary examples, portraits of prominent ideologists, multifaceted assessment of the social and political effects of the experience of totalitarianisms as well as review articles. Those aspects alone are sufficient to say that the problems tackled in Politeja — by definition an interdisciplinary journal — are very much representative for the field in question.
