Issue XLII/2023 of “Studia Linguistica” contains six scholarly peer-reviewed articles on various topics related to broadly understood linguistic research, as well as three review articles. The authors of published texts are researchers from various academic centres in Poland (Wrocław, Warszawa, Katowice, Kraków, Opole) and abroad (France, Italy). The articles are devoted to topics such as grammar of the German language (light verb constructions, I. Gaworski), phraseology (comparative studies, P. Golda, O. Karabag, J. Ryszka), text linguistics (Liber Defunctorum from the 19th century, P. Owsiński), anthropological linguistics (media discourse analysis, M. Strukowska), foreign language didactics (integrating AI into the educational process, M. Maziarz) and translation studies (translation of technical texts, Ł. Solarz). The articles are written in English, German, French and Polish. The issue closes with three review articles of Polish and German academic publications.
