ARTYKUŁY
The article poses the question of the interdependencies between Russian and American values, the former being perceived as an inherent part of the European legacy. The author tries to define the essence and characteristic features of the Russian stance towards values by pointing to its Platonic and metaphysical genealogy, and opposing it to the American ideas of pragmatism. He also echoes the views of some Russian thinkers for whom the philosophy of pragmatism (neo-pragmatism) and utilitarianism as well as the ideology of democratic liberalism create danger to the values of Truth, Good and Beauty.
