The rebellious nature of Lev Shestov’s thought

The article discusses a category of rebellion presented in the works of Russian existentialist Lev Szestov. The rebellion is examined not in the terms of community but in the terms of religion and philosophy. The main philosophical thread of Szestov’s philosophical rebellion is a protest against the obviousness of reason. In a religious sense Szestov’s concepts refer to the Old Testament.
