Театральные афиши из Друскеников
На основании богатой коллекции театральных афиш из Друскеников, хранимых в Народном архиве истории Беларуси в Гродно, автор приближает историю театров в расположенном на реке Неман курорте в 1840–1860 гг. Первые спектакли в курорте дали актеры из Сувалки, но в следующие сезоны в летнюю столицу Литвы приезжали театральные ансамбли из Гродна и Вильна, представляя богатый репертуар. Большим успехом среди курортников пользовались пьесы Александра Фредро и Юзефа Коженевского. Публика восхищалась также пьесами Владыслава Сырокомли, который приехал в Друскеники на лечение. В курорте побывал также Юзеф Игнацы Крашевский. ≪Главная вещь: играют на нашем языке≫ – писал знаменитый писатель об артистах на водах.
Theatre posters from Druskininkai
On the basis of an analysis of the rich collection of theatre posters from Druskininkai kept at the National Archives of Belorussian History in Grodno, the author presents the history of theatre in the health resort on the Neman River between 1840 and 1860. The first performances at the resort were given by actors from Suwałki, but in subsequent seasons the summer capital of Lithuania would attract theatre companies from Grodno and Vilnius bringing with them a vast repertoire. Particularly popular among people visiting the resort were performances of plays by Aleksander Fredro and Jozef Korzeniowski. The local audience also had an opportunity to admire plays by Władysław Syrokomla, who came to Druskininkai to receive treatment. Jozef Ignacy Kraszewski was another fi gure who visited the resort. “The main thing: they play in our mother tongue,” wrote the distinguished writer, referring to actors performing at the resort.
