THE EDITOR-IN-CHIEF AND THE EDITORIAL BOARD
OF THE JOURNAL LITERATURA I KULTURA POPULARNA

 

The Editorial Board is a collegial body supervising the editing and publishing process. Its basic duties comprise:

• establishing the publishing schedule

• the assessment of submitted articles

• considering current matters concerning the functioning of the editorial office.

The decisions are made by majority. In the case of controversies decisions are made by the Editor-in-Chief.

The Editorial Board of the journal Literatura i Kultura Popularna consists of the Editor-in-Chief, the Deputy Editor-in-Chief, the Assistant Editor and Subject Editors.

The Editor-in-Chief

The Editor-in-Chief is appointed by the Rector of the University of Wrocław on a proposal from the Dean of the Philological Faculty. The members of the Editorial Board are appointed and dismissed on a proposal from the Editor-in-Chief. The Board’s meetings take place twice a year in a physical or virtual form. The meetings are called up by the Assistant Editor upon request of the Editor-in-Chief.

The Deputy Editor-in-Chief

The Deputy Editor-in-Chief performs the duties of the Editor-in-Chief during the latter’s absence and fulfills his/her tasks (with his/her consent).

The Assistant Editor

The Assistant Editor’s duties comprise all the administrative and organizational actions indipensable for the proper functioning of the editorial office, including: receiving manuscripts, sending them to the Editor-in-Chief, maintaining contact with the members of the Editorial Board, the reviewers, the authors and the publishers. In the case of the absence of the Assistant Editor his/her duties are taken over by another member of the editorial staff apppointed by the Editor-in-Chief (with his/her consent).

Subject Editors

Subject Editors fulfill the tasks appointed to them by the Editor-in-Chief or the Deputy Editor-in-Chief.
