Responsibilities of the Editorial Staff

The Editorial Staff of the journal Literatura i Kultura Popularna consists of the Editor-in-Chief, the Assistant Editor, the Editorial Secretary and Subject Editors. The Editors are responsible for supervising the editing and publishing process. Their basic duties comprise:

• establishing the publishing schedule

• the assessment of submitted articles

• considering current matters concerning the functioning of the editorial office.

The decisions are made by majority. In the case of controversies decisions are made by the Editor-in-Chief.

 

The Editor-in-Chief

The Editor-in-Chief is appointed by the Rector of the University of Wrocław on a proposal from the Dean of the Faculty of Letters. Editorial Staff are appointed and dismissed on a proposal from the Editor-in-Chief. The Editors’ meetings take place twice a year in a physical or virtual form. The meetings are called up by the Editorial Secretary upon request of the Editor-in-Chief.

The Assistant Editor

The Assistant Editor performs the duties of the Editor-in-Chief during the latter’s absence and fulfills his/her tasks (with his/her consent).

The Editorial Secretary

The Editorial Secretary’s duties comprise all the administrative and organizational actions indipensable for the proper functioning of the journal, including: receiving manuscripts, sending them to the Editor-in-Chief, maintaining contact with the Editors, the reviewers, the authors and the publisher. In the case of the absence of the Editorial Secretary his/her duties are taken over by Editor apppointed by the Editor-in-Chief (with his/her consent).

Subject Editors

Subject Editors fulfil the tasks appointed to them by the Editor-in-Chief or the Assistant Editor.
