"Miscellanea Posttotalitariana Wratislaviensia" is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal published by the Interdisciplinary Research Center for Post-totalitarian Studies of the Institute of Slavic Studies (University of Wrocław, Poland). MPWr is aimed at literary scholars, linguists, culturists, historians, political scientists and anthropologists as well as sociologists of culture and literature interested in researching Central, Eastern and South-Eastern European post-totalitarianism in a postcolonial perspective.
The issues our contributors address in synchronous and diachronic perspectives include the negative effects of the existence of totalitarianism and the durability of its traumatic heritage, as well as the positive effects of the break with the totalitarian past, the pursuit of its overcoming and the attempts to make it reflective.
In addition to original, previously unpublished analytical-synthetic texts, the journal’s editorial board invites you to publish reviews, reports, and information about important scientific events - both domestic and foreign – devoted to post-totalitarian and postcolonial studies.
