Abstract

Throughout history, the use of the power argument has been treated as an obvious and natural instrument of policy making. It is believed that in modern times it should be abandoned due to claiming too many victims as well as contributing to faster economic and industrial impoverishment of societies. The increased use of the argument over the recent years has also been pointed out. The enormous influence of mass media has also been noticed. When creating an image of war for the general public, they often highlight its most drastic elements.

Security strategy includes elements of war and peace. However, it is economic development that shapes the vision of the country’s development. This truth is hard to argue with. And therefore, politicians must not forget about the economic aspect of the national security.
