Abstract

The article is a genealogical analysis of Juliusz Machulski’s film Vinci (2004). The author of the text draws attention primarily to the codes and genre schemes used by the director, proving that the production in question is syncretic in nature. The solutions used in Vinci are also analyzed against the background of Machulski’s entire output, which allows the author of this study to show that multi-genre works are a permanent element of the author’s strategy chosen by this director.
