Abstrakt

The aim of this review of Houellebecq’s new book, entitled Submission, is to reflect on the writer’s prophecy of the future of western — or to be more precise, French — man, who deprived of support from traditional morality and social relationships is even willing to accept a fundamentalist changes being introduced to his homeland by a political party called “Muslim Brotherhood”. The author of the article is trying to answers the question: Why — in Houellebecq’s vision — is a postmodern human so submissive?
