The reviewing procedure in the Wrocławsko-Lwowskie Zeszyty Prawnicze journal follows a double-blind review process.

Review form: download

While selecting the reviewers, the editors make sure that the articles are not reviewed by anyone with a conflict of interests, business or close personal relations with the authors of the publications. The content and conclusions of the review remain secret until the publication of the paper. Each article will be marked with the appropriate editorial number, identifying it throughout the entire publishing process. The authors will be able to read the review and refer to its content only through the editorial office. The list of reviewers will be published in each subsequent issue of the journal.

Detailed reviewing procedure

1. A member of the editorial team of the journal confirms the receiving of the article with the author.

2. Editorial member is obliged to make a preliminary check of the text which includes checking:

• whether the text has been previously published in another journal, collection of articles or monographs;

• whether the text is original;

• whether the text meets all the necessary requirements indicated in the “For Authors” section;

• whether the author has attached the required documents (a signed statement on familiarization with the ghostwriting clause, etc.).

3. Confirmation of receiving the article does not constitute acceptance for publishing.

4. The texts are reviewed by two independent reviewers.

5. The reviewing procedure follows the principles of the double-blind review process. Reviews are anonymous, the authors and reviewers do not disclose their identities.

6. Selected reviewers are not affiliated with the same institutions as the author of the article.

7. The review is made by filling in the written or electronic review form. The review must result in a clear conclusion of acceptance or rejection for publishing.

8. The reviewer must take into account the substantive value of the reviewed texts, in particular their originality and cognitive values. The formal side of the article is also evaluated.

9. Articles that received two positive reviews are directed for publishing.

10. The review may contain an application for the article to be accepted for publishing after the author has met certain requirements (after making improvements or supplementing them). The author's response to the article review can be in written or electronic form.

11. In the case of both, positive or negative review, the final decision on accepting or rejecting the article is made by the editors of the volume in consultation with the Editor-in-Chief.

12. The editors take into account the content of the review, the author's response to the reviews, the content and subject of the article.

13. After completing the reviewing procedure, the editorial staff member informs the author about the decision by email.
