Declaration of ethics
EDITORIAL BOARD
1. Submitted manuscripts are evaluated by the Editorial Board (Editorial Team and the Reviewers) solely in terms of their content.
2. The Editorial Board may decide to reject a manuscript from the editorial process at any time during the editorial process.
3. The Editorial Board is responsible for the final effect of editorial work, and in particular for the quality of the manuscripts published in Dziennikarstwo i Media.
4. The Scientific Board of Dziennikarstwo i Media may also take part in deliberations on content-related issues.
5. The Editorial Board makes every effort to preserve the anonymity of reviewers in the process of reviewing the submitted texts.
AUTHORS
1. Acknowledgement of authorship should have a reasonable basis. Authorship implies an intellectual contribution to the work necessary to create the submitted manuscript. Any change in authorship requires the written consent of all authors.
2. Author(s) certify that they have read the editorial requirements of Dziennikarstwo i Media before submitting their manuscript.
3. Manuscripts submitted to Dziennikarstwo i Media must be original piece of work and have not been previously published in any other outlet. The author(s) also declare that the manuscript is not the subject of any other editorial proceedings.
4. All sources and methods used to obtain and analyse the data should be explicitly and clearly described by the author(s) in the submitted manuscript.
5. Potential conflicts of interest (personal, commercial, political, academic or financial) and their nature should be presented to the Editorial Board at the time of manuscript submission.
7. The author(s) accept that their manuscript will be reviewed in a double-blind and anonymous review process, and they are obliged to correct the manuscript in accordance with the reviewers' recommendations.
8. If a manuscript is found to be unoriginal, it is automatically rejected without the possibility of reconsideration. All cases of scientific dishonesty will be exposed and documented by the editors who will pass information about such dishonesty to relevant institutions (the Author’s place of employment, scientific societies etc.).
REVIEW PROCEDURE
1. Manuscripts submitted to Dziennikarstwo i Media, after initial acceptance by the Editorial Board, undergo a process of double-blind and anonymous review.
2. As the entire reviewing process is anonymous, the reviewers are obliged to treat the texts they receive confidentially.
3. Any contact between the reviewer and the Author(s) is not allowed.
4. Manuscripts rejected in the reviewing process cannot be the subject of subsequent editorial proceedings.
