New wave of outsourcing – a new business orientation

There is a new wave of outsourcing in the global market. The trend has significantly changed in recent years. It is characterized by shorter contract duration, dividing megacontracts into smaller deals and more aggressive offshoring strategy. These shifts, along with other key trends in the market, such as customer need to lower costs and drive increased productivity, are creating fundamental changes in the outsourcing marketplace. One of most significant examples is 2006 GM outsourcing deal, which often is pointed out as a breakthrough.
