The impact of the crisis on the purchasing power of consumers in Ukraine and Poland
Article examines the income and purchasing power of Ukrainian and Polish consumers. Presented dynamics of basic social standards in Ukraine, and also the quantitative assessment of purchasing capacity of the Polish consumers. The publication shows a steady upward trend of poverty in Ukraine and deepening economic crisis. In Ukraine, the inequality of income and access to basic social services, inefficient labor market structure and modern social infrastructure, inflation factors, the low capacity of the right to work does not allow poor people to escape from poverty, create a negative psychological mood and lead to a passive expectation of aid from the state.
