Abstract

Research to date in the area of tourism has mainly focused on motivations regarding the choice of travel destination, accommodation, or tourism consumption. The aim of the study was to identify the factors that shape the frequency of tourist trips of Poles. The indication of the main determinants of the number of journeys made during the year was made using a CATI survey (n = 313). The majority of respondents were young people who were studying and childless. The results of the study showed that the frequency of trips in a year varies regarding the period in which the trip takes place, the form of rest, the choice of destination, or direction of departure, the cost of attractions, the daily cost of food and accommodation, the number of participants, age, and earnings.
