Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to analyze cognitive operations underlying transdisciplinary modeling of linguistic problems in the light of Conceptual Blending Theory. First, the systemic implications of Franciszek Grucza’s concept of distinctivity of language units will be outlined. The second part of the article is aimed at identifying some possible levels of adequacy between human language skills and the concept of sequencing developed in the field of molecular biology to explain the operationalization of language rules. The concept of sequencing language rules was built across linguistics, molecular biology and selected research in the field of neurobiology. The third part of the article comprises a concise analysis of cognitive operations which could possibly determine conceptual blending in transdisciplinary modeling.
