The 29th volume of the oldest Netherlandic scientific journal in Poland, Neerlandica Wratislaviensia edited by Jan Urbaniak contains a total of 15 original scientific articles by netherlandic scholars from Poland and abroad. The volume is devoted to imagology, a scientific field that studies and describes the creation of images related to countries, societies and cultures. Texts on imagology are complemented by selected articles presented at the conference at the Catholic University of Lublin (2018), on the theme of the concept of freedom, as well as texts on other literary and linguistic topics. As usual, the volume concludes with book reviews, giving the reader an idea of the current market for scholarly publications on topics related to Dutch culture in its broadest sense. Scholarly articles on a wide variety of subjects makes the journal a multifaceted contribution to the development of Dutch studies worldwide and convinces of the unabated development of the academic Dutch community, not only in the countries of the Dutch language area, but also beyond.
