In the face of climate catastrophe, I observe an increasing combination of methods to save natural living conditions with revising inequality and state policies in terms of investment in infrastructure and public services. The model of growth is also being discussed and GDP growth as an end in itself is criticized. This is the direction of European Union policy, which in the Green Deal and in the Bauhaus program, advocates building resilience and greater social inclusion. I therefore believe the EU is promoting, albeit not explicitly, ideas of post-growth. Using the New European Bauhaus program as an example, I will show that the effectiveness of promoting post-growth ideas will require strengthening the role of the state and public institutions.
