Abstract

This article features three media artworks, from those created in the 1990s to the most recent from 2021, representing the art+science trend, building meta-narratives about the tools of science. The text attempts to present the complex artistic practice defined by the vague and gradually less accurate notion of “new media” through the autopoietic relations of form, as well as from the per-spective of “abalietas” — a notion that highlights the current emphasis on cooperation and interdependence in contemporary art, also present in the artistic research attitude adopted by artists in the creative process.
